States Voting On Marijuana Reform This Year

As we mentioned before getting a license to sell medical or recreational marijuana is a privilege.  We previously discussed the penalties for serving a minor in Colorado.  The penalties are severe.

A total of seven states will be voting on either medical or recreational marijuana this November.  The biggest state voting on recreational marijuana is California.  It could collect up to $1 billion annually within a few years of legalization.

Proposition 64, the Adult Use of Marijuana Act (AUMA), legalizes:

  • the possession of 1 ounce of marijuana flower, or up to 8 grams of cannabis concentrates for those 21 years and older,
  • the cultivation of up to 6 plants,
  • the industrial cultivation of hemp,
  • a taxed and regulated system for a recreational marijuana industry.

Are you in one of the seven states?  How will you be voting?
