Changes To Kentucky's Alcohol Laws

A number of new liquor license laws took effect in Kentucky on July 15th.  The aim of the laws is to support tourism and advance production.

Some of notable new laws are:

  • Cities can now enact ordinances that allow businesses to sell alcohol on Sunday or sell alcohol after midnight
  • Customers can purchase up to 4.5 liters of alcohol per day at a distillery, and can sample 1.75 ounces of one or more spirit
  • Bed and breakfasts can now apply for a license to serve alcohol to guests
  • Powered alcohol is illegal

What do you think of these laws?  Will they impact your business?
