Pennsylvania Liquor Laws

As part of our effort to educate our customers, let's take a look at Pennsylvania's liquor law.

Subsection 495 of Pennsylvania's Liquor Code provides that no penalty shall be imposed on a licensee or its employees for serving alcohol to a minor if they can establish that the minor was required to produce an identification card and it was relied on in good faith.  This applies to all civil and criminal prosecutions.

How does one prove that a minor was required to produce an ID?  Scan every patron and keep a record of it on our iPod or iPhone ID scanner.  Our ID scanner also lets you email yourself a record of every scan in Excel for offline safekeeping.
